Globalization is a word that everybody surely knows but when you ask somebody to explain what is means they will probably answer in a few lines. If you want to understand this phenomenon you have to assimilate a lot of information, only for giving a right definition of the possess. Globalization is a wide subject cause of the different kinds of it. You have economic, cultural, politic and military globalization. In this task I wouldn’t try to differentiate all this kinds of globalization but I will put the accent on the benefits and the negative effects of the phenomenon. The word globalization is used to indicate that populations, states and persons always will cooperate in bigger associations that around the world. The suppression of custom charges facilitates the worldwide trade. -Goods and services produced in one part of the world are increasingly available in all parts of the world. International travel is more frequent-.(2) The fact that prices fall and the turnover rises is an example of globalization. When globalization occurs the individual has nothing to say and that is the reason why the fight against globalization is that difficult. The countries unite to become big powerful blocks.(1) Globalization was made possible cause of the advance on many levels. The advances IT (internet technologies) the last 10 years are incredible. They allow that capital is transferred so easily that companies move around the world looking at the most rentable place. The dependence of all companies on the world market is evident now. This market is controlled by the tree most developed regions in the world US, Europe, and Japan. This dependence will make the ravine that separates the rich from the poor countries much deeper, so that the inequalities in the world become more important. Globalization has many advantages that people often forget. Globalization offers more jobs mainly in poor countries. When all frontiers are open many companies install in poor countries and allow these people to eat. Also thanks to the fact that all the frontiers are open a product will have a bigger surface to sell so the companies make more benefits. Thanks to globalization companies are able to settle in countries that are not well developed. By giving the people work the carry technology and know-how in those countries and consequently contribute to the development of the region. Globalization allows that prices are quite low here because of the low production costs. Globalization has also negative effects on the culture of the country in which the companies settle. Most of the fabrics engage people who have nothing and pay them with nothing. Some even engage children and prevent them to go to school if there are some. By implanting strange structures in poor countries globalization kills the local culture. Because the majority of poor countries have a weak government they are not able to protect the nature by voting ecological lows. Consequently there is no break on the destruction of the environment. Row materials are used at a high tempo and the poor countries take nearly any benefits on the sell of those. It is crystal clear that globalization is implanted in our economic system and consequently it is very difficult to fight against it. As I said before manifestations like the one in Porto Alegre will not help. In globalization the individual has nothing to say. The unique solution that would maybe work is the Tobin tax. This would be taxation on every transaction of money in the world. The tax would take 0.1% of the total of the transferred money. The tax would generate 100 billion of dollars a year. This money would stop the globalization process by limiting the fact that capitals move freely around the world and the collected money would help poor countries to develop.
