11. Open or closed end?
It’s a closed end because Annie died and Paul’s legs are slowly recovering.

12. Describe the most interesting part
The most interesting part is when Paul says to Annie that his book is all done, and Paul burns the book in front of Annie (wich wasn’t the real book). Annie picked it up and wanted to go to the bathroom to put it under the tap. Paul picked up the typewriter and threw it at Annie. Annie fell on the floor and the flames began to play at the edges of Annie’s clothes, he could already smell the burning skin. Paul let himself fall on top of Annie, this pushed her down to the hard typewriter. Paul grabbed some paper and squashed it into a ball. Annie was screaming with her mouth wide open. Paul pushed the paper into her mouth and repeated that untill the first balls of paper were deep in her throat. She managed to get up again but she fell over the typewriter and she hit her head on the wall. She was dead, at least that was what Paul thought. When Paul tried to get into his wheelchair she opened her eyes again. She crawl towards him and paul started to crawl for the door. Paul felt her hands reach for his neck. Suddenly her hands went loose and he pulled himself out from underneath her body. He shut the door and lay down, then Annie’s thick fingers crept under the door and Paul punched the fingers until they lay still.

13. Describe the principal characters
Annie: Annie kidnapped Paul. She didn’t care about her looks and she was really heavy. At first she didn’t seem so bad, but she had rapid mood changes. One little thing could make her really upset, and once she was upset she was capable of doing anything. She was unpredictable and crazy!
Paul: Paul was kidnapped by Annie and he was a famous writer. He was a lot smaller than Annie. He was really smart because he knew just when to disagree with Annie and when to keep his mouth shut.

14. Your opinion on principal characters
When I started reading the book I kind of felt sorry for Annie, but after a while I didn’t because she was really mean. I think Paul is smart, he knew just the right things to say, most of the time.

15. Your opinion on the book as a whole
I think it’s a good book, the story was easy to read and it was fascinating.

16. State what you have learnt from the book
I’ve learned that Stephen King writes really good books

17. Writing another end to the story
He heard her footsteps through the hallway, coming closer to his room. ‘I’m so exited that the book is finally finished’ Annie said on the way to Paul’s room, but Paul wasn’t listening. He was really nervous, what if his plan didn’t work? He knew that she was capable of killing him. But on the other hand, what has he got to lose? He’s been stuck in that room forever and he didn’t wont to live on if he had to stay there. Annie entered his room and sat next to him on the bed. ‘Is it good?’ Annie asked. ‘I think it’s great!’ Paul answered. ‘But you know, I think we should celebrate that I’ve finished the book before you start reading it’ Annie agreed and she went to the shop to buy some champagne. As soon as she left the house Paul opened the door with one of the hairpins he once found. He took some matches and a bottle of alcohol, there was only a single match left, but that was all he needed. He was planning on throwing the alcohol on Annie as soon as she entered his room, then light the match and throw it to Annie. He heard the engine of Annie’s car again, he wasn’t expecting her back so soon. Paul could already hear her yell, that couldn’t be good! Annie entered Paul’s room, her face was all white. He opened the bottle and threw the alcohol to Annie but the match wouldn’t burn! Annie closed the door and locked it quickly. He was in big trouble now. He didn’t hear a thing for a while, and he didn’t know if that was a good or bad sign. After a while he heard the engine of her car, she left the house! But Paul didn’t have any hairpins left so he couldn’t leave the room. Two days passed when Paul saw a car, but it wasn’t Annie’s car it was a police car! Was he finally save? He almost coulndn’t believe it, but where was Annie? He couldn’t think straight because he was in to much pain, and he hasn’t eaten anything for two whole days. The policeman came inside, he must have known that Annie wasn’t there because he was alone. ‘I’m in here, I’m still alive!’ Paul shouted. The policeman kicked in the door and he couldn’t believe his eyes. It was Paul Sheldon! ‘Are you okay?’ the policeman asked. ‘I think so. But what happened to Annie? Where is she?’ Paul asked. But the policeman didn’t know, they found her car yesterday evening up in the mountains, but Annie was never seen again. Some say she killed herself, others say she’s still out there waiting for another victim.
